I just read this nice article from Raju Bitter about Google Wave. If you just compare those two screens, well actually it looks that similar, its incredible. Webtop is I think more then 1 year old and Google Wave is still to come. Seems like the major players now trying to get their piece of the cake. But it does proof that people at Laszlo have done a great job at webtop. Hopefully Google Wave will get their product even more attention.
