there is a new simple Application available in the repository of OpenMeetings:

http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/AudioVideoTestingApplication

With this app you can:

  1. You can test all Audio, Video and Streaming Settings used in OpenMeetings. You can test, specify optimize settings. Please think about that this Application uses a video of width 320 and height 240. If you change the width and height, also the Video-Settings might be different to get a superior result.
  2. With this application you can also test how the NetStream/Streaming behaves if the Bandwidth is Bad. For example where and which Events are thrown.
  3. You can test how the Microphone quality changes if you change the rate. (Echo et cetera)
  4. You can change how the client behaves if you re-sync the NetStream (Stop/Resume Broadcasting)
  5. You can check how the client behaves if you do a long-term test (For example after 1 hour Live BroadCasting)

there is an interesting challenge in making a Plugin for Atlassian Software:
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CODEGEIST/Atlassian+Codegeist

they honor 6 Project by 5000 Dollar for making a Plugin for any of their Software:

  • JIRA, the professional issue tracker
  • Confluence, the enterprise wiki
  • Bamboo, the zen-like continous integration server
  • Crowd, our dead-simple identity management solution
  • Fisheye, the version control insight tool
  • Crucible, the painless peer code review tool

there are already Requests their for making a red5-video-chat as Plugin.
It would be quite cool to apply for that competition.
I hardly can do it, but if anybody is interested?
The time-limit is At 11:00am, May 9th (UTC/GMT -10)

anybody interested?
