Openmeetings RC3 released - including ScreenViewer
There is a new release of the Project Openmeetings now in Version RC3 (Beta3). It now comes with a ScreenViewer! So you are able to share your desktop with any participant of the meeting. See ScreenViewer for more info.
Screen of the ScreenViewer Modus:
Installation instructions:

Changes from Beta2 to Beta3:
http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/05Beta3Changes
Main improvements are that the ScreenViewer (see
http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/wiki/ScreenViewer) is now included. An
additional App. So others can see your Desktop during a Meeting if
necessary.
I did also some testings on Windows Boxes. I’ve tested:
Windows XP, MacOSX, Linux Debian 3.1
Databases tested:
Postgres, MySQL
So should be really cross-platform compatible and you should be able to use
it with MySQL,Postgres and any Database supported by Hibernate.

Cool! I was waiting for you to come up with desktop sharing, but you are quicker than I thought.

Great product. I’ve tested the Desktop sharing app on a Mac and it worked fine. Couple of questions about OpenMeetings: 1- can it support Arabic writing (left to right)? It seems that in a meeting only the moderator can write and other must request to become moderators in order to be allowed to write. Is this the case? It would make more sense to allow anyone to write if the are in a meeting.

=> no this makes the hole meeting very confusing as you will not be able to see who does what
